SCOPE Zambia (Schools and Colleges Permaculture Programme) was established in 2016 by ReSCOPE as response to a growing recognition that permaculture provided sustainable development, environmental stewardship, and resilient livelihoods and must be rooted in knowledge, practice, and locally relevant solutions.The organisation emerged from a vision to introduce and strengthen permaculture principles within educational institutions, recognising schools and colleges as critical spaces for shaping long-term social, ecological, and economic transformation.<\/p>\n

Through demonstration sites, learning gardens, and participatory engagement, the organisation began supporting institutions and communities to better understand the interconnected relationships between food systems, ecosystems, and livelihoods.<\/p>\n
